Before Smile: chipped and discolored teeth from a bad bite

After Smile: smile makeover with custom porcelain veneers

Yes, and interestingly we have had numerous patients come for smile design consults as they did not like their aging appearance or interestingly, did not like their appearance on ZOOM calls. This gentleman had several concerns with his smile:

  1. Discolored or aging shade
  2. Chipping and worn teeth
  3. Uncomfortable bite

When considering a smile makeover, one of the most overlooked considerations is evaluating what caused the teeth to breakdown in the first place. In this case, his misaligned bite which had caused excessive forces and wear on the front teeth. He was asymptomatic and no TMJ symptoms were present or noted on his CBCT scan so bite correction was incorporated into his smile design.

Dr. Konig explains, “With all our smile makeover cases, we do a “test drive smile” for our patients. This allows patients to see the shade and shape on their teeth prior to fabricating the customized porcelain veneers.”

The final photos show the beautiful results along a with very comfortable and stable bite.
