Layering of the porcelain was also used to create more natural esthetics. Additionally, it is easy to see that more teeth show when she smiles and has a more youthful appearance as well. All these factors are considered and planned in advance with smile designs.
With these types of cases, we actually fabricate provisionals from a case prep so that the patient’s have an opportunity to “test drive” the size and shape of the teeth as well as get an idea of the shade range they desire.
