Cosmetic Dentistry and Implants

Dental implants

should not be a limitation to creating beautiful smiles and teeth. In fact, when correctly, planned, placed, and managed from soft tissue to position to the type of implant placed, the cosmetic results should be enhanced. In this case, this young gentleman was missing teeth, both lateral incisors. We had the orthodontist maintain the appropriate space as opposed to trying to close the space by moving the cuspids inward(a very unesthetic approach). Note in the photos the nice soft tissue results and the natural shading and contours of the implant all ceramic crowns. Custom abutments were used as opposed to “one size fits all stock abutments”on the dental implants. In addition to designing the Houston Cosmetic Dentistry implant crowns to blend in with the natural teeth, we had the patient bleach his teeth to whiten them prior to the porcelain crowns being fabricated. Another added esthetic touch is that I also used the diode laser to re-shape his gum tissues for greater symmetry. As you can see, more than meets the eye goes into Dental Implant care and planning.
