The name "instant" can be a bit misleading. Instant orthodontics may take only one office visit if it is being performed with dental bonding alone. For procedures requiring crowns or porcelain veneers, you will need to make two to three visits over the course of a few weeks. This additional time is necessary for the custom creation of your dental restorations.

Instant orthodontics may take a few weeks to complete, but this time is negligible in comparison to the 12 to 24 months traditional orthodontia may take. In addition, this procedure can restore strength, beauty, and function to your smile.

Instant orthodontics is best for people with mild malocclusion. If you have severe overbite, underbite, or crossbite, an option such as wire and bracket braces or Invisalign® may be better suited to meet your needs. Dr. Konig can discuss the advantages of each procedure based on your individual needs.

Depending on the procedure utilized, your instant orthodontics may last for ten or more years. Porcelain veneers, dental crowns, and bonding are all as easy to take care of as your natural teeth. With a proper oral hygiene routine including regular visits to our office for cleanings and examinations, your results have the potential to last for a long time.
