Dental Crowns
There are a number of reasons why your teeth aren't as solid or structurally sound as they used to be. Everything from root canals to lost fillings can lead to significant flaws in the tooth surface. When a large portion of the surface of the tooth is a damaged, yet the root system is intact, a crown might be the best solution. Dr. Konig can artfully design tooth crowns that look completely natural, without noticeable, unsightly black lines.

Dr. Konig creates a dental crown to cover the entire surface of the tooth so that the tooth's original strength and durability are restored. As with many custom dental solutions, Dr. Konig takes an impression of the affected tooth so he can design the perfect crown. To allow function with comfort and esthetics, Dr. Konig always provided "temporaries" to patients during this process. Prior to the custom-made dental crown being placed, Dr. Konig will first install a filling to help stabilize the original tooth structure. Then, he will use a special dental cement to install and secure your permanent dental crown.
Like other cosmetic treatments, Dr. Konig has extensive experience with crowns and can beautifully match the color and shape of your teeth.
Dental Bridges
In some cases where you have lost a tooth, Dr. Konig may recommend an aesthetic dental bridge. Dental bridges are used between dental crowns to replace a missing tooth. When a bridge is attached on either side by a crown, it is referred to as a fixed bridge and cannot be removed. Dental bridges are long-term dentistry solutions that will help the function and appearance of your teeth for years to come.

Dr. Konig makes your dental bridges based on an impression, or mold, he takes of the area. To do this, he will apply a light anesthetic to the area, alter the neighboring teeth as necessary to allow for the crown, and then take an impression. Most likely, a temporary bridge will be provided while the custom-made dental bridge is being designed. When ready, Dr. Konig will use a dental cement to affix your new dental bridge and crown.
It is important to match the color and shape of the bridge to your surrounding teeth. Dr. Konig's unique eye and vision will ensure your bridge not only has the right color and shape, it will look as natural as possible. The greatest compliment we receive is when everyone thinks it your natural teeth.
