The Lower One Third of the Face and the Non-surgical Facelift

Many people have plastic surgery to help keep their youthful appearance and there are many wonderful plastic surgeons and plastic surgery procedures.  However, when it comes to correcting the lower one of the face, plastic surgeons are not able to do this.  The study of facial beauty has shown that the face should be divided into equal thirds. Surgery can reduce wrinkles, fill in voids, plump the lips and other things.  It cannot correct the lower one third of the face which is what has been shown to create beauty with golden proportion.

Before Houston Cosmetic Dentistry After Houston Cosmetic Dentistry

This is something can be done by neuromuscular dentists ,that have advanced training ,  in many cases.  The photos above show one of our cases that corrected these facial issues.  It is important to note that many of these cases were this way due to functional problems that include TMJ or TMD, collapsed bites, and some developed due to inadequate airway which leads to mouthbreathing.   Using advanced computerized technology that includes muscle readings (EMGs) and jaw tracking, and 3D imaging to help determine the ideal restorative positions. In fact, the  final position for restorative care was not based by simply looking at the face, but rather by evaluation and using the evaluation as a guide these cases turned out close to the proportions that beauty defines.  If you have any questions about Houston Cosmetic Denstistry or Houston Veneers or Houston TMJ please feel free to contact our office, Ronald W.
