Cosmetic Differences in Porcelain Veneer Cases

Porcelain Veneers with Unatural Shape and Design

Improved Porcelain Veneer Shape and Design

This article is help foster patient awareness that not all veneers are the same.  Designing and shaping porcelain veneers is an art and science all the way through.  The photos speak for themselves.  The before photo is a patient who had veneers placed within the last year and was very unhappy with the shape and size of the veneers. Whereas she did have large spaces between the teeth, the after photo reveals the same case redone with proper artistic veneer design.  Cosmetic dentisty is not a commodity, rather an art that requires the artistic and scientific skills to create beautiful smiles. It is also important to notice how the gums were laser contoured to fit the new veneers as well.  Additionally, the embrasure areas between the teeth were designed to create a more natural appearance.
