Conservative Non Prep Veneers

Houston area cosmetic dentist, Ronald W. Konig DDS, FAGD, LVIF discusses indications for porcelain veneers using non-prep veneers. The case below shows a 21 year old lady with beautiful teeth and small lateral incisors. Non-prep ultra-thin porcelain veneers were used to increase the size of the laterals and create better proportions with relation to the other teeth.  Close observation will allow you to see the details:  

1) Custom shading to create a perfect match and some white calcification to blend in

2) Glaze is the same

3) Texture designed to blend in with the other teeth

4) Shaped to coherently blend in with natural teeth

There was absolutely no reason to do veneers on more teeth and the conservative nature of this treatment preserves her natural teeth.  She was delighted and happy with her smile.
