Can you tell which tooth is fake and is Dental Implant? Houston Dental Implant Dentist

Ronald W. Konig DDS, FAGD,LVIF, a Houston Dental Implant Dentist and Cosmetic Dentist explains how dental implants can be used to replace missing teeth and can look natural.  Can you tell which tooth is fake? The photo shows a patient with all natural teeth who had the upper left central incisor (the front tooth on your right) break and had to be extracted.  Using 3D scans and sophisticted software by Annatomage, we removed the tooth and place an implant the same day as well as made a temporary crown.

Looking at the photo notice several things that make this look natural:

1)  The gum tissue around the implant crown looks natural

2)  The dental implant crown has the same shape and texture as the natural teeth

3)  The dental lmpant crown has been custom shaded to make the tooth blend in with her natural teeth

This blog will hopefully show patients that dental implants, when carefully designed from the surgical phase to the artistic side of designing crowns that blend in seamlessly with the natural teeth.  It is not always necessary to do more than one tooth.  It is always up the patient to decide what would make them happy about their smile.  If you have questions about Houston Dental Implants or Houston Cosmetic Dentistry please feel free to call our office, 713-668-2289.
