Can Porcelain Veneers Be Used With Gum Recession?

There are cases when severe recession is past the point where reasonable periodontal grafting can help or patients do not want major surgery for a multiple number of reasons.  In some cases, porcelain veneers combined with bite alignment can provide an excellent treatment option.  In this case, the recession was a functional problem as the teeth were continuing to wear away with normal function.  There was also a cosmetic issue.  Dr. Konig, uses the term Functional Cosmetic Dentistry to describe these types of cases.
