The Art of Porcelain Veneers and Dark Stained Teeth

Cosmetic Dentistry is an artform and it should be recognized that each case is different as well as the results.  In this case, porcelain veneers were used to eliminate tetracyline stained teeth and close spaces to create a beautiful and healthy smile.  Smile designs are challenging and can be designed so that veneers should not be thick or bulky to achieve natural results.  The dark stains should be masked by utilization of layering porcelain to mask the stains and still have natural characteristics of translucency and vitality as opposed to a chiclet appearance.

The photos above show how advanced porcelain veneer design was utilized to:

1) naturally mask the dark stains

2) Close spaces from periodontal disease

3)  Improve his bite and overall dental health

4) Stop food impaction

These types of cases change peoples lives and improve their overall health.
