Long Term Stabilization of TMJ Treatment

LONG TERM STABILIZATION OF TMJ TREATMENT

One of our patient's whom we treated for TMJ and severe headache problems 4.5 years ago had moved to Chicago after we completed treatment. To stablize her jaw and muscles it was necessary to build up the lower back teeth on both sides. This time she returned, not for her jaw, but to discuss cosmetic dentistry! She wears no nightguard or appliance is pain free without headaches.

The point is that when correctly diagnosed, stabilized, and neuromuscularly treated TMJ problems and the symptoms such as neckaches, headaches, facial pain, tinnitus...etc can change patients to lives. This does not have to be a temporary thing. This is where neuromuscular dentistry comes in. Using sophisticated computer technology allows the neuromuscular dentist to see, treat, and care for patients like never before.

You can learn more about neuromuscular dentistry at the Myotronics website as well.
